- 03Our highly trained and experienced consultants are equipped with all the latest information about effective lice treatment and nit removal. There are plenty of myths and misinformation out there so we pride ourselves on providing only scientifically backed information and treatments. We will suggest a treatment based on its clinical evidence, your specific situation and any preferences you express to us. We arrive in an unmarked car to ensure confidentiality; We bring all the necessary tools and products to your location. Lousy Solutions Mobile Service is convenient, private and always effective. At the service: 1. A brief history will be taken, to understand what symptoms have been observed and if any treatments have been applied recently. 2. The treatment begins with a thorough examination of the hair and scalp to confirm the presence and assess the severity of the head lice infestation. 3. Our consultant then meticulously applies a non-toxic, TGA approved, treatment solution that effectively suffocates and kills lice and their eggs. 4. Next a specialised lice comb is used to remove all stages of the lice infestation - adult, nymph and eggs/nits. 5. The entire process will take approximately one hour; slightly less if the hair is very short, and possibly more if the hair is long, or thick, or in poor condition, or if there are many old eggs to be removed. 6. The treatment can be washed out as soon as the combing is complete. 7. Customers can take advantage of our phone/text follow-up service if they have any further questions or concerns. The whole process is designed to be thorough and to leave you lice-free. We will share with you the techniques we use so you are equipped to handle any future lice situation yourself. We also provide personalised advice on when or if you will need to apply a follow-up treatment and tips on how to prevent future infestations.
- 04Our standard mobile lice treatment and comb-out service costs $162 for one person. If you have additional people needing treatment, they are discounted to $138.50 each. This price includes a thorough treatment and comb-out for up to one hour per person. If the hair is long, thick, or in poor condition, it may take longer to comb out, and additional time is charged at $115 per hour. Please note, if you are located outside our service area, an extra travel/toll fee will apply.

- 06To prepare for our mobile lice treatment and nit removal service, follow these steps: 1. Set up in a comfortable, well-lit space with enough room for two stools or low-back chairs and a place for our tools. Avoid carpeted areas if possible. 2. Ensure hair is completely dry and detangled before our arrival. Detangling during the service can increase the overall time and cost. 3. Have some entertainment ready to keep children still during the combing process. 4. You don't need to wash the hair before treatment, as you'll need to wash the treatment out afterward. We bring everything else needed, along with tips and advice to help you manage any future lice situations.
